On December 10-11, the 3rd Annual SUMC Research Day was held in the Conference Room on 3rd Floor of Science and Technology Building and the gymnasium on SUMC campus. Executive Vice Dean Dongyang Huang gave the opening speech and presided over the activities.

The activities of the Research Day included oral and poster presentations. 15 doctors in total participated in oral sessions and 167 postgraduates participated in poster sessions.

Several winners for the first, second and third prizes were selected for the basic and clinical subjects respectively. Qian Liu from the Pathology Departmenet (Supervisor: Min Su) and Jingwen Bai from the Cheung Kong Scholar Laboratory (Supervisor: Guojun Zhang) won the first prizes of the basic and clinical subjects respectively in the oral sessions; Xiurong Ke from the Cancer Research Center (Supervisor: Hao Zhang) and Hong Lin from Pharmacology Department (Supervisor: Ganggang Shi) won the first prizes of the basic discipline in the poster sessions; Weiling Chen from Cheung Kong Scholar Laboratory (Supervisor: Guojun Zhang) and Jiaqi Huang from Endocrinology Department (Supervisor: Yongsong Chen) won the first prize of the clinical discipline in poster sessions. Executive Dean Junhui Bian, Executive Vice Dean Dongyang Huang, Representative of LKS Foundation at SUMC Dr. Frieda Law presented the prizes to the winners.

The Research Day has been successfully held for three successive years since 2014. It has won the widespread praise from faculties, staff and students. It is conducive to enhancing the academic atmosphere of the college and helping postgraduates improve their research abilities.
