A team consisting of three students from SUMC 2015 Nursing Class and Clinical Medicine Class, namely Daming Xu, Qiang Yu and Peixuan Chen, beat off fierce competition from other university teams from across the country and finally won the first prize for their “Noise-AID^TM” project in the Final of Johnson & Johnson - Enactus Nursing Innovation Competition on August 15.

The Competition carried out jointly by Johnson & Johnson China and Enactus China was aimed at encouraging nursing students to try out innovative ideas through interdisciplinary cooperation in order to help promote the development of the nursing industry in China. The Competition originally began with 207 university teams from 17 provinces and top five teams were selected for the final round which was held on August 15 in Beijing. Earlier in April this year after a thorough selection process, SUMC selected four projects for this national competition, headed by Prof. Hang Gui and Prof. Changmin Lin.

The SUMC team as the champion will be supported by Johnson & Johnson China to attend the Enactus World Cup 2017 Global Goals Forum in the upcoming September in London where they will share their insights on the #3 goal, Good Health and Well-being of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for 2030.
