Dr. Tan Xuerui, director of SUMC First Affiliated Hospital and an expert in cardiovascular medicine has been elected the new dean of Shantou University Medical College (SUMC), announced today by Organization Department of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee.
Dr. Tan expressed his appreciation to the provincial government and the University for reposing confidence in him and to the colleagues for their support. Dr. Tan pledged to lead SUMC into a new era of development through strengthened reform and innovation.
