On January 22, delegates from Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) headed by Professor Sek Ying Chair, Director of the Nethersole School of Nursing visited STU Medical College to engage in academic exchanges and discussions on cooperation opportunities.

The delegates met with Dean Tan Xuerui of SUMC, Dr. Frieda Law of Li Ka Shing Foundation, and other representatives from the Academic Affairs Department and the Nursing Department. Both sides exchanged ideas and experiences in a variety of respects including nursing students admission, nursing education and scientific research, how to prepare students for careers, alumni connection and strategies to improve reputation. Dr. Frieda Law pledged to Director Sek Ying Chair that the National Medical Aid for the Poor Project and National Hospice Service Program at SUMC would be open to CUHK nursing students.

The two schools have cooperated in exchange of nursing undergraduate students and academic exchanges for a few years. During this meeting, both sides expressed wishes to continue maintaining close communication and strengthening cooperation in faculty and student exchange in the future.
