Recently, Prof Li Liping, Director of Injury Prevention Research Center at SUMC in collaboration with Prof. Yang Jingzhen of  the Ohio State University, published the research paper titled “Injury Prevention in China: Government-Supported Initiatives on the Leading Causes of Injury-Related Deaths” in the American Journal of Public Health, at the invitation of Dr Stella Yu, Regional Editor of the Journal.

The paper introduces the remarkable achievements that China has made in injury control and prevention in the past two decades and discusses the policies to prevent the three leading types of deaths from injury, i.e. suicide, road traffic injury, and drowning.
