The Academic Degree Committee of Guangdong Province has formally authorized SUMC to grant PhD degrees in Clinical Medicine.
Graduate students will now be able to opt for a doctorate program in Clinical Medicine at SUMC in addition to PhD programs already on offer in Basic Medical Science and several medical research specialties (see here).
This breakthrough for SUMC’s PhD program offerings also represents the first time that Shantou University has been authorized to offer a first-class doctoral degree program. It is an important step in the development of Shantou University and our College.
