Professor Yi Guan’s team publishes breakthrough findings on H7N9 Virus in Science

On 23 May 2013, the international research team led by Professor Yi Guan of the Joint Influenza Research Centre (SUMC/HKU) at Shantou University Medical College published their research on H7N9 virus entitled "Infectivity, Transmission, and Pathology of Human H7N9 Influenza in Ferrets and Pigs" in the world’s most prestigious international scientific journal, Science. This is a significant breakthrough in H7N9 virus research.
