On April 13, SUMC received an academic visit by Dr. Susie Lum, President, The Provisional HK Academy of Nursing, and Ms. Civy Leung, Consultant, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and Hospital Authority Hong Kong East Cluster. They were warmly welcome by the SUMC Vice Dean Prof. Mian-hua Yang and other representatives from the SUMC Department of Nursing and the affiliated hospitals.

During the visit, both parties had in-depth discussions on potential collaborations in the areas of nursing faculty development, clinical nurse specialist development, nursing student exchange, bedside coaching and so forth. Both parties have announced their intent to cooperate in these areas.
