From March 31st to April 3rd, Prof. Uwe Koch-Gromus, dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf visited SUMC. He and along with Executive Dean Bian and Dr. Frieda Law discussed and planned together student development, international exchange, and research collaboration. He also signed a Joint PhD Program agreement on behalf of the University of Hamburg. This serves to push the development of well-trained individuals between the two schools. Prof. Koch-Gromus also visited SUMC’s Center of Neurobiology and the Affiliated Mental Health Center.

University of Hamburg was established in 1919, an internationally renowned academic research and education institution. Prof. Koch-Gromus graduated from the University of Hamburg and have been the dean of the Faculty of Medicine since 2007. Because of his excellent leadership and dedication, he is serving his 3rd term as the dean.
