2017-03-13

On March 7, Dr. Huang Chengyang’s research team at SUMC joined hands with Michael Carey’s research team from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to published their latest cooperative research findings in a paper titled “Cbx3 Maintains Lineage Specificity During Neural Differentiation” in Genes & Development (5-Year Impact Factor: 11.579).

Dr. Huang received his PhD in developmental biology from Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Subsequently, he worked as postdoctoral scholar and research scientist at Stevens Institute of Technology, Stanford University and UCLA in 2010-2015 respectively. In 2015, he joined Shantou University Medical College. Dr. Huang has been devoted to basic and translational research in regulatory networks that underlie stem cell fate. He has maintained extensive cooperation with the counterpart labs at the Shanghai Institute for Biological Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of California, with their research findings published in Nature Cell Biology, Genes & Development, Molecular Cell, Cell Research, Biomaterials, Development and Drug Discovery Today.
